Our Story

In July 2015, I realized a long-held dream by opening New Path Spa by Magda Sosin after spending over 16 years in the beauty industry. My journey has always been rooted in a passion for working with people, helping my clients feel incredible, and enhancing their natural beauty. With a vision to cultivate a space that fosters not only personal transformation but also community, I assembled a team of like-minded individuals who share the same inspiration and dedication. Together, we strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. I am deeply grateful to the clients who have followed me on this journey, many of whom have become more like friends over the years. Your unwavering support has been instrumental in bringing my dream to life. Kingston may be a small city, but it possesses a big heart, and its residents love to support those who aspire to achieve their dreams. I feel fortunate to be part of this vibrant community, and I am excited to continue growing alongside my clients and team. Magdalena Sosin-Tran

Spa Owner / Aesthetician

Magdalena Sosin is a dedicated aesthetician and entrepreneur whose inspiring journey began in Poland before she made Canada her home in 1995. After completing her aesthetic program in Poland, she moved to Canada at the age of 20, immersing herself in the beauty industry while diligently improving her English.

Throughout her career, Magdalena has expanded her expertise through various courses in nails, sugaring, reflexology, reiki, chakra balancing, bookkeeping, and accounting. Her nine years as an aesthetic manager at Aveda salon introduced her to the Ayurvedic approach to beauty, deepening her understanding of holistic practices.

In 2011, Magdalena took a bold step to pursue her dream of entrepreneurship by venturing into permanent makeup. She started with foundational techniques and gradually advanced to microblading, learning from esteemed instructors along the way. This passion culminated in the opening of New Path Spa in July 2015, realizing her vision.

At New Path Spa, Magdalena strives to collaborate with like-minded professionals who are committed to excellence and continuous growth. She deeply values the trust that clients place in her and her team, working to create a nurturing environment where everyone can thrive. Dedicated to mentoring the next generation of aestheticians and entrepreneurs, Magdalena empowers others to unlock their full potential. Through her efforts, she aims to elevate the beauty industry and foster a community of skilled, passionate professionals.

Cathy completed her Aesthetics program at St. Lawrence College, along with formal training in Make-Up Artistry. While her path in the spa industry has evolved in a unique direction, her passion remains rooted in creating exceptional guest experiences.

In her role, Cathy is dedicated to ensuring every guest is welcomed into a warm, calming, and inviting environment—one where they can truly relax, recharge, and prioritize their self-care.

Natural health and holistic wellness are at the core of what inspires her. She believes that self-care is not simply a luxury, but an essential part of overall well-being.

Outside of the spa, Cathy finds balance through yoga, meditation, breathwork, and mindful living—practices that reflect her commitment to living well and helping others do the same.

Mya Sigouin

Aesthetician

Mya is a passionate aesthetician who hails from the small town of Cochrane in northern Ontario. After completing her high school education in Thunder Bay, she pursued her certification as a nail technician before making the move to Kingston to further her studies in aesthetics. Since then, Mya has embraced this career path wholeheartedly, constantly refining her skills and techniques to provide each client with a relaxing and personalized experience.

Her dedication to her craft is matched by her genuine love for connecting with people, making it a priority to build meaningful relationships with every client. Outside of her work, Mya enjoys a variety of hobbies, including baking, painting, and spending time in nature. Winter activities such as skiing and snowmobiling, along with quality time with family and friends, are also some of her favorite ways to unwind.

Mackenzie Madore

Aesthetician

Mackenzie is a dedicated aesthetician with a genuine passion for beauty and self-care. She thrives on helping others feel their best, both physically and emotionally, and is always eager to expand her knowledge in the ever-evolving world of skincare and wellness.

In her work, Mackenzie focuses on creating personalized experiences for her clients, whether through manicures, pedicures, or waxing. Her true passion lies in facials, where she takes pride in tailoring skincare routines using Eminence products, ensuring each client feels pampered and rejuvenated. The immediate, positive impact of her work is what brings her the most joy.

Outside of her professional life, Mackenzie enjoys working on cars, a hobby that allows her to unwind and tap into her hands-on, creative side. Whether it’s refining skincare routines or restoring a classic car, Mackenzie brings a thoughtful, meticulous approach to everything she does.
